My Brain, My Way_ Individual Coaching.png

Individual Coaching

Your brain isn't the problem.

You might just need a different way of working with it.

Maybe you know exactly what you should be doing — but actually starting it feels impossible.

Maybe your brain is full of ideas but turning them into action is another matter.

Maybe you're brilliant in a crisis but completely overwhelmed by everyday admin.

Or perhaps you've spent years wondering why things that seem straightforward for other people can take so much out of you.

Coaching gives you space to understand your brain — and work with it rather than constantly fighting against it.

Coaching is different with us

We get curious.

What's actually getting in the way?

When does your brain work brilliantly?

What drains you?

What helps?

What have you been blaming yourself for that might make much more sense when you understand your brain?

Together, we'll experiment with practical strategies that fit your brain, your life and the way you actually work.

Not the way you think you should work.

What might we work on?

Every coaching journey is different, but we might explore:

  • Executive function

  • Starting tasks and getting unstuck

  • Overwhelm and paralysis

  • Prioritising when everything feels important

  • Time blindness and planning

  • Motivation and dopamine

  • Procrastination

  • Routines and transitions

  • Work and creative projects

  • Burnout and energy

  • Perfectionism

  • Rejection Sensitivity Disorder

  • Confidence and self-esteem

  • Understanding a new or suspected diagnosis

  • Advocating for what you need

  • Creating systems that actually work for you

And sometimes you won't arrive knowing what you need to work on.That's completely okay.Working that out can be part of the coaching.

What does a coaching
session look like?

There isn't a standard Chaos Compass session that everyone has to follow. You bring what's happening right now.  That might be a project you can't start.  A decision you're going round in circles about.  A giant list that's making you want to do absolutely none of it.

Or simply: “My brain is chaos and I don't know where to start.”

We'll help you slow it down, understand what's happening underneath it and work out a manageable way forward.

Practical strategies — not homework.

You may leave a session with something to experiment with.

A five-minute rule.

A different way of breaking down a task.

A visual tool.

But these aren't rules.  We're experimenting. If something doesn't work, you haven't failed at the strategy.

The strategy wasn't right for your brain.

So we try something else.

Sessions are usually 60 minutes.

Coaching can take place online, giving you flexibility to fit sessions around work, family and life.

You don't need a formal ADHD or autism diagnosis to work with us.

You can come for support around something specific, or work with us over a longer period as you build your understanding and toolkit.

We work particularly well with people who have spent a long time thinking:

“Why can't I just DO the thing?”

You might have ADHD, be autistic or AuDHD.

You might be newly diagnosed.

You might have known for years.

You might be on a waiting list.

Or you might simply recognise yourself in what you're reading and want to understand your brain better.

You don't need a diagnosis to start understanding yourself.

“I can work with, not against, my own brain.”

“Jemma's coaching, in just six sessions, was transformational for me. I have come to judge myself less harshly and feel a new positivity about how I can work with, not against, my own brain. I felt like Jemma was a partner in the journey to better understand my own brain, guiding me along yet I always felt I was given agency about the speed and direction of travel.”
